UIT Fund Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Faircourt Asset Management Inc., an employee owned investment management company, widely recognized as an innovator in the Canadian fund industry.
Faircourt was founded in 2002 by Charles Taerk and Douglas Waterson, quickly establishing a reputation for innovative investment solutions with the launch of Canada’s first split trust, Faircourt Income Split Trust.
After the launch of several innovative solutions, Faircourt worked with a Canadian Bank to create Canada’s first principal protected note that generated monthly tax-efficient return of capital distributions.
Faircourt’s next innovation involved the launch of Faircourt Gold Income Corp (FGX:TSX), a closed end fund listed on the TSX. FGX was the first fund in Canada to combine gold equities with the ability to generate monthly distributions utilizing an options strategy. With its creation, FGX provides Canadian retail investors with exposure to gold with lower volatility, and provides tax efficient monthly distributions funded through option writing.
And now Faircourt has created UIT Fund Corporation, offering unique investment themes for Canadian investors.
